this has been spectulated to death in the forums. Right now, only anet knows, but it doesn't seem very likely that it will happen.

To tell you the truth, I have no evidence. I do remember reading somwhere though that all the classes are gonna get around 25 skills in Nightfall.
Plus, The base classes from Prophecies got a few skills in Factions. It'd be kinda unfair if the new Faction classes don't learn any skills from the continent in Nightfall.

It's likely that they won't. The base classes from Prophecies get extra skills because they are Core Classes that are available in all of the Chapters, even if you don't have Prophecies.
Assassins and Ritualists, however, are chapter specific classes and there is therefor no reason to expect them to get anything from the other chapters; just like they most likely won't get any new armors.

That's because the 6 Professions from Prophecies are CORE CLASSES, which is why they got new skills in Factions!

cant speculate and answer based on the six core classes...
before factions there was only one set of character classes IE the core professions... and with the release of each chapter yes they HAVE to include core profession they are the heart of the game...
however from a balancing perspective they almost HAVE to give all character classes from previous chapters new skills to be able to compete pve and pvp wise... if you have tried its not so easy getting through faction pve without the use of the addes skill not to mention pvp...
now yea nightfall will not include the classes from faction unless the account has factions... but in order for those classes to be any bit viable further from faction including pvp they need new skills...
if anet fails to provide this.. why would anyone even bother with the hype of getting new classes with each expansion in the first place...
most people find more interest in the classes that come with each chapter and also the new skill available to old classes... otherwise... really what excitment is each chapter if their are no new classes and no new skills...

sorry but no
core classes (6) times 25 skills equals 150 skills out of 300 new ones.
new professions (2) get 75 skills each for another 150 skills.
150+150=300 with nothing left over fpr ass/rit

Loviatar is correct, ANET never intended to expand on any other skills than the core classes and they made that clear.

my belief was that only core classes and new classes would be expanded upon, so nto assassin and Rit, I'm pretty sure it was stated in no uncertain terms also.

Oh well. It would be interesting though to have the ritualists and stuff learn new techs from a foreign continent, but you all put up good points.

People ASSUME 25 skills to existing Classes 75 to new..because thats what they got in Factions.
All classes now (8) times 20 skills equals 160 skills.
New ones (2) get 70 each equals 140 skills.
Together....You get the same 300. And heck..I went over to guildwars.com and I don't read anywhere "There will be 300 new skills in Nightfall, just like Factions" (correct me if there is). Remember that EBGames article that said all of this was denyed by Anet as being truthful, and EBGames has taken alot of it down I beleive.
Anet has not Confirmed or Denyed either way...So Your Math is JUST AS Assumed and Unconfirmed as My Math... The question was even posed to Anet directly through an interview with Izzy and he too at the time would not confirm or deny Rit and Zin updates.

You're kidding yourself if you think ANET will do anything for the Assassin and Ritualist in Nightfall.

and by the same logic in chapter 4 the new professions would be shortchanged even more.
somehow i dont see that as a selling point.
mine is pure speculation but it is at least based on what has happened before

Well, we could get 20 skills for the core and 15 for the sin and rit.
20(6)+15(2)=150, leaving 75 each for the new classes.
